The Absolute Basics

The intermittent fasting plan is simple and you can do this for several months or for the rest of your life. Here are the basic rules:


1. For two days a week restrict yourself to 600 calories if you are a man, or 500 
calories if you are a woman. 

2. For the other five days you can eat anything you like. 


3. The two fasting days do not have to be consecutive 


4. You can choose how to use your calorie allowance on the fasting days  

in any way you like. 



Point to think about: On the fasting days you can eat all your calories in one go or 
spread them out. You can choose any type of food as long as you stick to the 
allowance. However you can choose to be sensible and eat nutritious healthy food 
which seems like a better option than blowing all your calories on alcohol or sugary foods.
