100 Calorie Snack Pack: Guacamole

I absolutely love Guacamole but it's not really a diet food usually as the main ingredient is avocado and avocados are quite high in fat content and calories. It's the good for you, healthy kind of fat of course, but when you are watching the calories on your 5:2 fasting days then it can be hard to fit into the allowance.

Of course one of the great things about the intermittent fasting diet is that you can have whatever you like on the non-fasting days, so you can always indulge with avocado on those days. But if you simply must have your Guacamole fix on a fasting day then it's good to serve yourself a specific portion with set calories and I have found these little 100-calorie snack packs perfect for just this.

So you could just take a spoon and eat one for a 100-calorie snack. Or add the following for a more substantial snack...

add half a cup of baby carrot sticks for an extra 25 calories
add two medium sticks of celery for an extra 12 calories
add half a cup of cucumber sticks for an extra 8 calories
add 2 rice cakes for an extra 70 calories

add all of the above for a healthy lunch (215 calories) which would be easy to carry with you to work or on a day out.
